Township of Lower Merion, PA is seeking proposals for new pickleball courts at Ashbridge Memorial and refurbishment of the basketball courts at Wynnewood Valley Parks. Here are the details:

1. Sealed Proposals will be received by the Township of Lower Merion for the following:
Construction of Ashbridge Memorial Park Pickleball Courts Contract Number: 4459-23-28
Reconstruction of Wynnewood Valley Park Basketball Court Contract Number: 4459-23-29
Construction of Ashbridge Park Pickleball Courts and Reconstruction of Wynnewood Valley Park Basketball Court (Combined) Contract Number: 4459-23-30
2. Sealed proposals shall be submitted
online via the Pennbid Program (www.Pennbid.net).
3. Proposals will be received until 11 am, prevailing time, Thursday, September 14, 2023 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
4. Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty as specified in the Instructions to Bidders section of the Bid Document.
5. A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% are required. Also, a Maintenance Bond in the amount of 25% is required.
6. Bidders may obtain electronic copies of drawings and specifications of this project, at no cost, on the PennBid website noted above.
7. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at Ashbridge Memorial Park at 1301 W Montgomery Avenue, Rosemont, PA 19010 by the Tennis Courts on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 10:30 am, for all interested Bidders.
Afterwards, interested bidders may visit Wynnewood Valley Park at the 1505 Remington Rd, Penn Wynne, PA 19096 by the Basketball Court.
In the event of heavy rain, the prebid meeting will be rescheduled to Friday, August 18, 2023 at 10:30 am. A notification to all bidders via PennBid will be posted if the rain date is needed.
8. Scope of Work The work includes, but is not limited to: erosion and sediment control measures; selective demolition; regrading; court construction, including markings, fencing, and appurtenances; stormwater improvements; and site restoration. Construction Notice to Proceed is planned for Winter 2023 pending contract execution.
9. Detailed specifications developed by the Pennoni Associates, Inc. Questions regarding the project scope shall be submitted via the “Questions” feature in PennBid. The last day for receipt of written questions is end of business day of Friday, September 1, 2023.
